It is with much sadness that we acknowledge the passing of Founding WAPA Board Member, Karl Byam. As all of us know, Karl and his company Byam Propeller have been a force in this industry for longer than any of us want to admit. Possibly, no one can remember a time when Karl was not available to talk props with customers and co-workers alike. Prop World has long suspected that Karl taught props to Tom Hamilton, himself. Karl was so knowledgable it is rumored he forgot more about Ham-Standards than any other prop guy ever knew! Karl was more than just a Great PropMan and EAA Supporter – he was a husband and father. Our hearts go out to his lovely wife Patricia and his sons Steve and Mike.
