WHERE IT ALL STARTED:

The Worldwide Aircraft Propeller Association (WAPA) was organized in 1992 in order to promote and maintain a cooperative spirit between repair stations certified to maintain propellers under 14 Code of Federal Regulation Subsection 145, their suppliers, and customers. We encourage high standards of professionalism among the members of the Association and the aviation propeller maintenance industry.

As an organization, WAPA offers continuing education training of the highest quality from aviation propeller experts and manufacturers.

We strive to alert members of regulatory or legislative activities that may affect the aviation propeller maintenance industry.

We provide a forum for and endorse the exchange of technical support information to and between members of the aviation maintenance industry.

WAPA presents a unified voice to undertake any and all activities on behalf of the aviation propeller maintenance industry permitted under the law.

WAPA provides training and promotes safety for the entire propeller community.

We accomplish education and improve safety through practicing inclusiveness. The annual WAPA conference has long been the only meeting open to ALL members of the propeller community–major manufacturers, repair stations, experimental propeller makers, industrial suppliers, PMA manufacturers, special service providers, and the list goes on. Regardless of size, background or affiliation, all are welcome to support us as members and attend the WAPA conference.

WAPA promote the propeller industry from all angles.

WAPA members know the best way to keep up with changes in the aviation industry is to meet peers and allies, talk about their experiences, and share ideas. At WAPA conferences you can talk to repair stations about specific service issues or get answers to nagging questions from experts. As a manufacturer you may meet potential suppliers or receive invaluable field reports from the folks in the trenches. Ultimately, WAPA helps shape the aviation industry by helping members better navigate its shifting landscape.
